Used Hyundai Bluelink+: What Stays Included?
If you want remote climate control in a used Hyundai, pay attention to its Advanced offer. On eligible Bluelink+ vehicles, an ordinary used purchase gets a three-month Advanced trial; a certified pre-owned purchase gets one year. Basic stays included at no cost in both.

Want remote climate control? Check Advanced
To start or stop the car remotely with climate control, you need an active Advanced subscription. The car also needs fully automatic temperature control for the remote climate feature. Remote stop works only when the car is in remote-start mode. Basic by itself will not give you those remote functions.
Before buying, have the seller confirm that the car has Bluelink+ and show the Advanced package and end date you would receive. A previous owner's phone demonstration does not tell you how long your Advanced access will be included.
Setting up MyHyundai after the purchase
To enroll, you use a MyHyundai account and the car's VIN. Hyundai also asks for proof that you own the car when you update vehicle ownership. That is the account setup; the included Advanced period is still the used or certified pre-owned offer above.
The earlier Bluelink service has its own offer. You cannot upgrade a Bluelink subscription to Bluelink+.
The free update clock starts with the car's first use
The three years of included map and multimedia over-the-air updates start when the vehicle is first used new. They do not start again when you buy it used. Fees apply after that period.
Bluelink needs an active account and cellular/GPS coverage. It relies on third-party 4G networks, and network changes can stop the service. Features and fees can also change.
Compare the car and its service period
Certified pre-owned gives you a longer no-cost Advanced period than an ordinary used purchase: one year instead of three months. The map and multimedia updates still run on the car's original three-year clock.
