New Hyundai Accent Value Edition Joins the 2017 Accent Lineup

The 2017 Hyundai Accent lineup has welcomed a new member to its ranks: the Hyundai Accent Value Edition. Priced just $705 above the Accent base model, this new trim adds prime features to the already affordable and feature-loaded Accent sedan. Keep reading to find out more!

Value Edition Features

Among amenities the Value Addition adds to the Accent base trim, drivers will find features like:

  • Bluetooth hands-free phone system

  • Steering wheel-mounted audio controls

  • Cruise control

  • Sliding armrest storage box

  • 16-inch machine finish alloy wheels

  • Rear disc brakes

Each Accent sedan model, including the Value Edition, features a roomy 103.4 cubic feet of interior volume and 13.7 cubic feet of trunk space. A 60/40-split rear seatback is offered standard to further expand cargo space when needed.

The Accent also features a variety of storage compartments. Drivers can utilize a storage tray that is located at the base of the center console and bigger bottle holders in the front doors.

Performance Delivery

Beneath the hood of each Accent model is a 1.6L 4-cylinder, all-aluminum engine that generates 137 hp and 123 lb-ft of torque. This engine features advanced technologies such as gasoline direct injection, a variable length intake manifold, dual continuously variable valve timing on the intake and exhaust camshafts, and a no-maintenance silent roller timing-chain.

The Accent’s engine comes paired with either a six-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC and Active ECO System (standard in the Value Edition) or a six-speed manual transmission.

The Accent models deliver an EPA-estimated 27 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway when equipped with manual transmission and 26 city mpg and 36 highway mpg when equipped with automatic transmission.
