2016 has been a great year so far for Hyundai. The South Korean automaker introduced its 2017 Ioniq lineup, which includes a hybrid, plug-in hybrid and a pure electric option. The family of green cars are unique to the industry as all three variants' powertrains will operate on the same platform.

The Inoniq Hybrid and Ioniq Plug-In Hybrid will be fairly similar as they both feature a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. As for the Ioniq Electric, its motor will be powered by a 28 kWh lithium0ion battery -- Right now, Hyundai is projecting a 110-mile range on a single charge. All three are designed to defy wind -- maximizing miles per gallon or EV range --, front-wheel drive, and a tablet-like display screen.

Pricing and availability has yet to be officially determined. For more on the Hyundai Ioniq lineup, contact our showroom with any questions you may have by calling 888-580-0953.
