A very, very sad reality is that there are several children, world-wide, and here in the U.S., inflicted by various cancers.

And, while this is indeed a sorrowful fact, it's comforting to know that there are organizations dedicated to finding cures to the specific types of the disease which most affect younger people.

Case in point, Hyundai Hope on Wheels: a nonprofit organization in which Hyundai Motor America and its 800 U.S. dealers fun institutions that are working hard towards finding a cure, or cures, for various forms of pediatric cancer through thorough and in-depth research.

And, now Hyundai Hope on Wheels has bestowed upon the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center, Division of Pediatric Oncology of Baltimore a Scholar Grant in the amount of $75,000. This sum adds up to $885,000 Hyundai Hope on Wheels has given the center in the last six years.

The Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center, Division of Pediatric Oncology of Baltimore is quite thankful for Hyundai's support:

"Hyundai Motor America has been a long-time champion of childhood cancer research and we are greatly appreciative of their unwavering support. We share a mutual goal - finding cures for all childhood cancers. These types of funding sources are even more critical in these days of federal cutbacks of research funding."1 says Donald Small, M.D., Ph.D., director of the pediatric oncology division at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center.
