Unfortunately, when many people think of luxury automobiles, they think of Germany. And we'll admit that the central European hub has been home to a few refined looks over the years, but that doesn't mean that it's the only game in town. As a matter of fact, our preferred automaker is making a pretty strong bid for the luxury crown with the 2015 Hyundai Genesis.
Now we realize that every time a Hyundai dealer touts their brand it probably doesn't make 60 Minutes. It's certainly true that we've always been pleased with the performance and the accommodating interior of the flagship, too. But in terms of design, well, we've just never seen anything like this before.
In fact, we're far from the only ones talking up the South Korean automaker these days. Even though the new Genesis won't make it to dealerships like our Chicago, IL area showroom for quite some time, the model is already making headlines around the world.
With a long and lean stance, a prominent grille, and an overall confident-looking front fascia, we're not surprised at all that the sedan has people talking. As far as performance is concerned, you'll still have the option of either a V6 or a V8 engine for 333-hp and 429-hp, respectively. However, the handling has been improved for a more responsive ride.
