2026 Santa Fe Charging: Compare SEL and Calligraphy for Two Phones
U.S. gasoline 2026 Santa Fe: SE, SEL and Calligraphy only. Other grades and Santa Fe Hybrid are outside this comparison.
If you are comparing SEL with Calligraphy and want both front occupants to have a wireless charging spot, check the dual-charger listing. Calligraphy has standard dual wireless charging; SEL’s standard wireless-charging listing does not include the dual system. Both have wireless phone projection, which is a separate equipment question. Bring both actual phones and cases to check how the charging setup fits your routine.
Read the two charging rows separately
For these three gasoline grades, the equipment table gives different answers for wireless charging and dual wireless charging. Calligraphy lists the dual system as standard. SEL lists wireless charging as standard but the dual feature as unavailable; SE lists neither charger feature as available.
Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are listed as standard on all three grades checked here. A phone connecting to the screen therefore does not show that a charging pad is fitted or that the phone will charge on it. Check connection and charging as separate tasks.

Check two supported phones, not just two spaces
Hyundai describes the available dual pads as charging two Qi-compatible phones at once, with charging dependent on smartphone and case compatibility. The manual says to check Qi support with the phone manufacturer. Two charging positions are useful only if the devices you carry can use them.
During a parked check, close all doors and put the Engine Start/Stop button in ON or START. Enable Wireless Charging System for Mobile Devices in the vehicle’s Convenience settings, then place each supported phone centered on its pad with the screen facing up. The indicator is orange when charging.
Remove other items from the pad, including the smart key and card key. The manual warns that metal between the pad and phone can stop charging, and a thick case may prevent it. Check with the cases you normally use, rather than assuming a bare-phone result covers them.
Make the comparison fit your everyday handoff
Try both phones in the dual setup and note their charging indicators. Then check phone projection separately. That gives you a practical answer to two questions: whether each device charges in its usual case, and whether your normal screen connection works.
Charging can pause during smart-key use, engine starting or door locking and unlocking; it stops when the Engine Start/Stop button is OFF. Include that parked-to-driving handoff in your questions. A brief orange indicator does not establish uninterrupted charging for an entire trip.
Ask Elgin Hyundai to show the charging equipment on the exact Santa Fe and check both phones in the cases you use every day.
