Trims: GLS, GS and Sport
All three trims share the same engine and both transmissions. The differences are body style and equipment.
GLS sedan
The four-door. It rides on 14-inch steel wheels with covers. The Popular Equipment Package adds Bluetooth hands-free phone, steering-wheel audio and cruise controls, a tilt-and-telescoping wheel and a sliding armrest storage box. The Style Package adds 16-inch alloy wheels and projector headlights with LED accents.
GS hatchback
The five-door version of the GLS, with 21.2 cu. ft. of cargo room behind the rear seats. Like every 2015 Accent, it has a 60/40 split-folding rear seat.
Sport hatchback
New name for 2015: the Accent SE became the Accent Sport. It adds 16-inch machine-finish alloy wheels, projector headlights with LED accents, a roof-mounted spoiler and its own steering calibration.
What changed for 2015
- Restyled grille, headlights and taillights.
- New 16-inch alloy wheel design and new 14-inch wheel covers.
- Three new colors: Vitamin C, Pacific Blue and Misty Beige.
- New interior fabric patterns.
- A reversed LCD audio display on the GLS and GS, which Hyundai said was easier to read.
- An outside temperature display in the instrument cluster on every trim.
Safety and audio equipment
Hyundai listed this equipment for the 2015 Accent.
Airbags and head restraints
Six airbags: two front, two front seat-mounted side, and side curtains for front and rear passengers. Active front head restraints are standard.
Stability and braking
Electronic Stability Control with traction control, Vehicle Stability Management, and anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brake-force Distribution and Brake Assist.
Audio
A six-speaker, 172-watt system with SiriusXM, a CD/MP3 player and iPod/USB and auxiliary inputs is standard. Bluetooth hands-free calling and music streaming was available, so check the specific car.
Buying a used 2015 Accent: what to check
- Confirm the trim and packages on the actual car. Bluetooth, cruise control and alloy wheels were not on every 2015 Accent.
- Note the transmission. Hyundai's 27/38 mpg figure is for the six-speed manual.
- Ask for service records, including oil changes and any timing, brake or tire work.
- Run the VIN for open recalls at nhtsa.gov/recalls before you buy.
- Ask what warranty, if any, comes with the car. When new, the 2015 Accent carried a 5-year/60,000-mile new vehicle limited warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty. A 2015 model is now past both time limits.
- Have a technician inspect it. Our service department can look over a used Hyundai before or after you buy.
